Sunday Worship
This page aims to tell you more about our Worship meetings at Norwich Citadel, they take place every Sunday and anyone is welcome to attend, we look forward to seeing you there!

Morning Worship

On Sunday mornings, usually at 10.30am, we come together to begin our week by worshipping God.  Whilst many people find our style of worship to be quite relaxed the essence of our worship meetings is the same as that of any church:  we sing congregational songs, we share in prayer time and Bible readings and the leader of the meeting will deliver a sermon.

One very special difference between a worship meeting at Norwich Citadel compared to many other church venues are the Music Groups which participate: the Citadel Band will accompany some of the congregational songs as will the Young Poeple's Band.  Our choirs the Songsters and Singing Company also perform.

Morning meetings may also contain certain special events such as dedication ceremonies, our version of a christening.

Half way through the meeting our Young people leave to take part in their own worship and Sunday School classes.

Evening Worship

The evening meeting usually takes place at 6pm, it will usually follow a similar format as the Morning meeting but on occassions will include extra elements such as testimony time.

Every now and again a Sunday evening meeting will take on a completely different format with events like F
irst Sunday' where guest speakers or performers provide us with a different type of Worship event.  See the Special Events page for details of such up coming events, or read the News & Reviews page for details of past events.
