Norwich
Citadel operates a community store in the city. Formerly known as
a charity shop, it is located at 9-11 Lower
Goat Lane, close to City Hall, manager Kelvin Mann. It
has recently
undergone some refurbishment to make it a more attractive place to
visit and browse.
Profits from the store go entirely to supporting
the community work of The Salvation
Army in and around Norwich.
The store
stocks a good range of keenly-priced furniture, electrical goods (not
TVs, fridges, freezers, microwaves or washing machines), clothing and
household goods. The store
operates it's own large delivery vehicles which collect and deliver
furniture 5 days a week.
The
Salvation
Army's motto 'With heart to God and hand to man' is taken literally
when furniture and other household items are supplied free of charge or
at very low cost to disadvantaged people who contact The Salvation Army
or other local social agencies. |

If you have
items of furniture that you would like to donate, please contact the
store to arrange collection.
Please note however that legislation by Trading Standards means that we
are unable to collect some items, particularly upholstered goods
without current fire resistant labelling and certain electrical goods.
If you have other items to donate such as clothing and household goods,
it would be appreciated if you could bring these into the store. |
