First Sunday 6th September
Lieut-Colonel Roland Sewell has had to cancel his visit on this date because International Head Quarters have asked him to go to Zimbabwe for a month on the 1st September on urgent Salvation Army business.  As this will be the first full Sunday after the holidays, both meetings will now be led by our new corps officers, Majors Ian and Sally McBride.

Promoted to Glory
Tom Rose (father of C.S Janet Mann) was promoted to Glory last Sunday Morning.  His funeral service will be held here at the Citadel on Tuesday 3rd August at 11am.

Wanted!
If you have any magazines which you no longer require, please would you be kind enough to donate them to our Day Centre. The clients who come each week enjoy having something to read and would welcome any new magazines.

Help Wanted
Philip Neave is looking for a volunteer for two Fridays in August (9am-1.30pm) to sell the War Cry in Anglia Square.  The only qualifications needed are to enjoy meeting people and being happy to chat with them.  Please see Philip for more information.

Prayers Required
We have been asked by a Catherines customer to pray for her daughter who went into hospital on Friday for an operation.  Her daughters name is Karen.  Her family have been through a very testing time, losing a granddaughter six weeks ago to cancer and would greatly value our prayers.

Congratulations
We send our love and congratulations to Philip and Margaret Neave on the safe arrival of Grandson Jacob.  Margaret and Philip thank everybody for their prayers for their daughter Sarah, Jacob arrived as scheduled on Monday and is safely home with Mum and Dad Shaun and sisters Evie and Bethany in Beccles.

Ladies Fellowship Strawberry Tea
Tickets are available for the Ladies Fellowship biannual Strawberry Tea.  This takes place in the William Booth Suite on Monday August 2nd at 7.30pm, everyone is welcome.  Tickets £3.50 per head from Jan Allen.  Bring and Buy stall will be in operation.  All proceeds to this years Helping Hand Appeal.

Primary School in Kenya
Martin Carr requests that you read the notice in the foyer regarding the building of a new Primary School in Kenya.  They are looking for sponsorship, but they are also asking for the donation of items to take to Kenya.  Please check the list to see if you can help this worthwhile cause.

Hand Made Greetings Cards
Designed and Produced by Shaun Harvey.
Shaun is a fine artist and has produced some hand made greetings cards featuring some of his own drawings of famous Norwich landmarks.  He will be selling packs of cards (5 for £2.50).  There are posters and leaflets available in the foyer for you to choose a design and place your order.  All funds raised are for the Norwich Citadel Bands Tour of Canada and the USA.
